How Balboa Line collects, uses and protects personal information on this website and in our recruiting process.

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Balboa Line Capital, S.A. and its affiliates ("Balboa Line", "we", "us") handle personal information collected through balboaline.com (the "Site") and in connection with recruiting. It does not cover information we process in the course of trading, which is governed by the rules of the venues and counterparties we trade with.

Information we collect

  • Information you provide: your name, email address, company, job title and the content of your message when you use our contact form, write to us or apply for a role, including CVs and application materials.
  • Information collected automatically: standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring URL. The Site does not use advertising trackers.
  • Cookies: the Site uses only functional storage needed to remember interface preferences. We do not set third-party marketing cookies.

How we use information

  • To respond to enquiries and provide the information you request.
  • To evaluate applications and manage our recruiting process.
  • To operate, secure and improve the Site.
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including record-keeping requirements that apply to trading firms.

Our legal bases, where required, are your consent, our legitimate interests in running the firm and the Site, and compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the Site and run recruiting (for example hosting, email and applicant-tracking providers) under contractual confidentiality obligations; with professional advisers; with regulators and law-enforcement where required; and within the Balboa Line group. We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Balboa Line operates in Panama and Curaçao and works with service providers in other countries. Where information is transferred across borders we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We retain enquiry data for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards. Recruiting data is retained for up to two years after a decision unless you ask us to delete it sooner or local law requires otherwise.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, to data portability and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our processing in Panama is subject to Law 81 of 2019 on Personal Data Protection, supervised by the National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI); in Curaçao it is subject to the National Ordinance on Personal Data Protection. To exercise these rights contact privacy@balboaline.com.

Security

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including encryption in transit, access controls and logging.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top indicates the latest revision.
